Your guide, should you choose one, will familiarize you with the plant and animal life as well as the wonders of Canada's mountain parks and safety issues in the park.  You may enjoy your deluxe picnic lunch here before heading to the Jasper town site.

Then it's off to the Jasper tramway for a panoramic view of the Athabasca valley and Jasper.  If you are feeling ambitious, the short yet intense hike to the summit will give you an even greater view.

The day’s sightseeing adventures bring you back to Sunwapta to for an evening of fine dining and great company.

Day 2

Day two is “water wonder” day, beginning with a short drive and walks to Horseshoe lake and Edwards lake. The next stop is Maligne Canyon where the foot path follows the turbulent river as it carves through the canyon creating pools and waterfalls.

Your deluxe picnic lunch may be enjoyed here or at your next stop Medicine Lake some twenty minutes away.

This mysterious lake may be either a river or a hundred foot deep lake depending on the time of year.  As you travel the remainder of the way to Maligne Lake, remember to watch for animals.   This road is famous for sightings of its resident moose, big horn sheep, wolf and bear.

Once you reach Maligne Lake you will cruise on the crystal clear waters to "spirit island" one of the most photographed spots in all of the Canadian Rockies.

Your final stop is Athabasca Falls before returning to Sunwapta.
