The Restaurant at Sunwapta is located in the heart of Jasper National Park 53km south of Downtown Jasper and 50km north of the famous Columbia Icefield Centre.
You will find us in the Lodge on the west side of the Icefields Parkway (HWY 93). For directions, check our map here or give us a call.
The restaurant at Sunwapta is a multiple-time winner of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. You don’t need to be a guest to stop in and enjoy any of our awesome menus.
We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are no longer required for any of our services!
With local hikes and the waterfall nearby you can take food to go, back to your room, sit in our outdoor locations, or join us in the restaurant.
We provide fresh made lunches to go from 8am, hot lunch items from 11am to 5pm, and evening menu from 5:30pm.

Cute cabins near beautiful waterfall We enjoyed our stay at this cute and quiet resort. Cabins were small but had fireplaces and very clean. To my surprise they offered daily house keeping. You could walk or take a car to the waterfall. They offered a continental breakfast with cereals and pastry. Nice restaurant but very limited dinner menu. Deli with snacks and nice gift shop. Great place to stay! Very friendly and helpful staff in all areas of the Lodge. Clean accommodations - very quiet and peaceful with only the smoothing sounds of the falls to put you to sleep. The walk from the Lodge to the Falls was short and not difficult - we did it several times a day. Fantastic Gift Shop with friendly staff and great products. Pure Canadiana Love the location, staff and breakfast! Staying here brings back memories of long ago family vacations. Vintage, nostalgic accommodations, it’s pure Canadiana. The slight angle to some floors add to the charm. Comfortable beds, crisp sheets and wood burning fireplace made the end of adventure filled days that much better. The Lodge’s location is a fantastic spot to base your time in Jasper. It provides easy access to several of Jasper’s finest sites. What compliments the location and accommodations? The BEST of the BEST staff and service. From check in to check out you will be treated like family. The front desk is exceptional in assisting with directions, reservations and recommendations to make your time memorable.
The restaurant provides a full breakfast menu and delicious dinner options. We were very impressed with all of our meals. If you are driving by it’s worth the stop to taste the cheesecake. The gift shop is also very nice.
I stayed here back to back 2020 and 2021. The first time with friends. It was so enjoyable I returned with my husband for 4 nights. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful views and friendly service The staff here were amazing! Amber checked us into our room and gave us lots of information about the hikes and viewpoints in the area, and also booked our tickets for us for the ice fields tour we planned for the next day. We stayed in one of the cabins, which was clean and quiet. There were only 2 of us travelling, so the double room was fine. There was a hair dryer and coffee maker in the room and we were given coffee at check in. We had a lovely breakfast at the on-site restaurant and the service was excellent! Awesome staffs I had booked Sunwapta Fall resort after seeing Tripadvisor rating.I am honest that I was super duper impressed by front desk staff. Shannon, Amber, Lynn and restaurant in charge.
Lynn took extra pain to reschedule my booking with Skywalk and Shannon was everywhere from front desk to housekeeping.
First class for you team and no double I would like to revisit and refer to anyone without any doubt.

Real gem on the Icefields Parkway The room was comfy and clean, with a lovely wood burning fireplace and a small kitchen area, which was very welcome. The restaurant was fantastic - food, drinks, and service was top notch. However, the real star was the amazing staff - so helpful and accommodating, exceeding all expectations! The location is a short walk from the amazing Sunwapta Falls and a short drive from Honeymoon Lake for a quick swim, kayak or paddle board adventure. Great overall experience.Checking in was very easy and staffs were very accommodating.Our cabin was comfortable and homey and the only dowfall was the washroom from adjoing cabin was loud when being used..Restaurant was superb, Food was delicious and well prepared by a great chef i recommend for guests to try!!! A great mountain getaway! Excellent food and friendly service! From the first contact by phone and email, the staff made me feel important and that they were there to help me with our trip.
